Whether it’s a feature film or a YouTube video, almost any production can be enhanced with customized music that helps to tie the whole package together.

If you’re in need of such specialized content for your project I’d highly recommend myself for the job. I specialize in guitar-oriented pop songs that have been described as Beatlesque from time to time. I write songs for very specific purposes on a regular basis, and a couple of my tunes can even be heard occasionally on CityTV’s Breakfast Television.

What’s it cost?

Every customized song is billed on a sliding scale dependent on a number of things, such as:

1. How big will the project be?
   A little YouTube video likely doesn’t have the same budget as a full-length film, and I’ll definitely take that into consideration.
    
2. What sort of exposure can I expect?
   Having my name prominently displayed so people know I did the music can greatly help your bottom line, even more so if there’s any way to give a direct link to my website.
    
3. What’s the potential for the song to have a life outside your project?
   Do I have a chance of using the tune as a recording or in a live show, or do the references to your project make the song more of a jingle? Being able to reuse the piece definitely has its advantages from my perspective.
    
4. Will I be writing music for others to perform or will I be recording the final soundtrack as well?
   In all cases I’ll provide a recording of the song, but the extra time to polish the production in the studio could be a factor.
