Here’s a brief round up of my baby steps toward global domination today:
- After doing the final mix on my next Song Fu entry (”You Chose to be a Dick“) last night, I sent it in to Ken at Quick Stop Entertainment today. The deadline for the one-minute miracle challenge is Monday night. Voting on Round 3 submissions will commence on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009.
- The little guy has a cold today, so I spent much of my time wiping his nose & bathing him and all that jazz. He’s adorable when he’s under the weather. Perhaps that’s how Munchhausen mothers get started.
- While he slept I listened to Merlin Mann of 43 Folders addressing MaxFunCon about getting things started on @SpaceParanoids’s recommendation. A very interesting discussion, especially for someone like me just getting out of the starting blocks creatively.
- I did a little more reading on the concept of getting things done before moving on and actually getting some things done.
- I did some laundry. I still have a lot of folding ahead of me.
- To counterbalance the admitted shallowness & frivolity of “You Chose to be a Dick,” I wrote a thoroughly depressing piece called “Watching You Die is Killing Me.” Somehow, it’s technically in a major key.

Hi, I'm Steve Chatterton, a singer/songwriter of a collection of tunes about superheroes, fireflies, communicable diseases and such.

I also took some time this evening to update my lyrics vault. Can’t be losing the ideas like I used to.
