Time for a change, methinks

They say a change is as good as a rest, so maybe a change after a rest will be twice as good.

I haven’t been very productive in the studio for a while, to say the least, what with all that’s entailed in being a stay-at-home dad, and I think if I’m going to get back at it I’m going to have to find the right motivation to make it happen. Regrettably, I think that well has gone dry for me as far as making strictly electronic music goes.

I started this site a couple of weeks ago in anticipation of being asked to plug a website when I was on TV last week, and ever since getting that dose of limited local fame I’ve been wondering what the hell I’m going to do with this damn site.

Well, I’ve almost got it all figured out, but before I spell out the master plan I’m going to drop one more batch of tracks from the electronic days which should appeal to fans of Boards of Canada and generative production techniques alike.

Before I totally close the book on this chapter of my musical life, I just want to say thanks to all the great folks at em411.com and anyone else who ever had an encouraging word for my dabblings in this field. I’d like to think I learnt a fair few things about audio production in the process which I hope to apply to my future endeavours (which will probably not be received well by fans of electronic music).

But that’s all I’m going to say for now. Check back in a day or so when I finally reveal details of my new club and start handing out the special decoder rings.
