Back-up of “Viewer Mail Cue” found in old pile of discs
Last Wednesday at the highly ungodly hour of 5:30 in the morning, I got a call from Kevin Forget, producer of CityTV’s Breakfast Television (BT). Since I was scheduled to be on the show that morning, I feared he was calling at the last minute possible to cancel.
Luckily, that wasn’t the case. He just wanted me to see if I could bring in a copy of an earlier piece I had had aired on the show a few years prior. Regrettably, I’ve suffered a myriad of hard-drive failures and whatnot since then, so I knew there’d be a fair bit of sifting through the back-up discs if I were to ever find the old tune.
I spent a fair bit of time this weekend hunting through the back-up discs, though, so even though I couldn’t take it to the show I can permanently enshrine it as part of this website. So without further ado, here is the “Viewer Mail Cue” as it originally appeared on BT back in 2002-03.

The vocals were tracked by my eight-year-old daughter back when she was only two. Child labour laws be damned – everyone contributes in my household.
