Crazy Graffiti Animation: MUTO by Blu

May 13th, 2008 by stv

MUTO a wall-painted animation by BLU from blu on Vimeo.

Blu is a fairly bizarro artist I just discovered today. I thought I’d share some of his work amazing with you.

I don’t know much about his history, but I like the work I’ve seen so far. The above video is entitled “MUTO” and was shot frame by frame in Buenos Aires and Baden this past winter. As you watch it, remember that each and every frame of the movie had to be painted by hand.

I can only guess how long it took to plan and execute. This guy’s got to be majorly driven.

My jaw is dropped. Unbelievable - I started going, “oh, I love those teeth best” then something else, then, it just kept getting better and weirder and weirder and better. Thanks for putting it up.

When I checked out his website, it looks like Blu does all his painting with a brush, rather than spraypaint, so he’s eco-friendly to boot.
