Fredo Viola’s EP Out in France

December 6th, 2007 by stv

Fredo Viola is one of the cooler musicians I’ve ever met online, and now, at long last, his tracks are being released by a proper label and everyone is going to know how wicked he is and I’ll get to be all laid back and cool and say, “Oh yeah, Fredo - we’ve been emailing back and forth for a few years now,” and I’ll finally be vindicated. By the way, dig the Sad Song video, shot entirely in Motion Jpeg mode in 15-second chunks on a digital camera.

Also, if you are in the vicinity, Fredo’s playing the Transmusicale Festival in Rennes today (cancel any other plans).

OK, un-cancel your plans. I just got word from Mr. Viola that he’s extremely under the weather and had to cancel tonight’s gig under doctor’s orders - he’s got a throat inflamation and could do permanent damage if he sings, and that would be a great loss. Get well soon.
