Google Submission Test, Part 2

October 14th, 2007 by stv

For those of you who read yesterday’s blog and have been waiting with bated breath to find out what happened, here’s the long and the short of it …

I didn’t have time to do a whole lot for my site after blogging yesterday. After getting everything all straightened out at Technorati, I had to go replace my old busted cell phone, ended up upgrading to a BlackBerry and spent the rest of the day trying to figure the darn thing out.

Anyway, having only a link back from a site with a Google Page Rank of 8/10 evidently carries enough weight to get a brand new site that has never been linked to before listed on Google in roughly 24 hours. I listed on Technorati yesterday after breakfast and my wife found this site on Google shortly after breakfast this morning.

So there you go. If you have a new site and you want it listed on Google, don’t use the Google’s add URL function. Just get a blog and claim it on Technorati and your site will be on Google in about a day.
