Sorry, Dad

July 31st, 2007 by stv

My 2-yr-old son has learned that it feels good to be forgiven. He’s learned how to say that he’s sorry, and seems to enjoy going out of his way to say he’s sorry so that he can be told it’s OK.

Case in point: yesterday, he spotted me across the kitchen and started running, ducking his head down at just the right moment to head-butt me in the schnutz. But, as I doubled up in pain, I heard this little voice saying “Sorry, dad,” and oddly enough, everything was right with the world.
